SCOOTER riders from throughout Yorkshire braved the unseasonably chilly weather on Sunday to roar into Ripon.
The rally saw more than 200 Vespa and Lambretta enthusiasts descend on the Ship Inn in Bondgate for the event which was organised by Ripon City Scooter Club.
A barbecue laid on by pub staff raised £170 for The Ship's football team and helped to warm up those who had made a long journey.
Club member, Karen Chesher said: "We had at least 200 scooters here. They came from all over - Bradford, York, Thirsk and Leeds.
"The weather didn't put them off and we were competing with a rally in Rotherham which is also going on today so we did really well. And it's the first time we have done this."
The success of the club's first ever Spring ride out could see a bigger, better event next year.
"Hopefully we are going to do a proper one next year," she said. "Maybe a two day event on the racecourse."
Ripon City Scooter Club meet every Thursday from 7.30pm at The Ship Inn, Bondgate.
